February 27, 2022 - decanted 45 minutes after opening, and started drinking 20 minutes after decanting. Also still pretty tannic. Slightly more sweet on the palate, richer with smoky and grilled meats.

September 24, 2021 - decanted 45 minutes prior to serving. Initially pretty grassy but it wasn't corked. Smoky, inky, tannic on the palate. Quelle surprise. Some soy sauce and some fruit here, but overall this was much leaner and more French than expected.

June 4, 2021 - Drank with Zachy while he was up here. Notes of old mushrooms, damp forest floor, over ripe plump black plums Beautiful on the palate with copious amounts of black fruits, plums a gentle softness completely lack of tannin and structure at this point although the finish was smooth. Drink up

April 5, 2021 - served more than 2½ hours after decanting. nicely balanced, a little smoke, a bit of leather, and still got good concentration. Just about my favorite wine tonight.

January 26, 2021 - decanted for an hour before serving. Smoky, minty, fragrant with woodsy notes. Still got the fruit, of course. Smooth on the palate. Drinking so well.

January 8, 2021 - Enjoyable but not as evolved as I would have expected (nor does it seem to have peaked, though may be on a long and not exciting plateau)

November 28, 2019 - Great thanksgiving dinner wine. Nice floral on the nose. Color is dark, legs are sticking to the glass.
Body is big and rich, load of black fruit. You can test the intensity of this wine. Great structure and balance. Long finish. This wine is peakin. Out standing Napa Cabernet Sauvignon!!!

August 23, 2019 - Nose of plum, black berry, black cherry, touch of barnyard and forest floor, same on the palate, big body, very tasty, elegant tasting, delicious, mouth filling fruit, rich fruit, at peak drinking, time to enjoy is now if you own it, and a long, flavorful finish and aftertaste, a great Cabernet Sauvignon that is worth the money.

May 11, 2019 - The cork looked fine after foil removal but disintegrated upon extraction. Rich in color and slightly past due plums on the nose. The flavor improved over time, lacked the expected richness. Still quite enjoyable but probably was more so a couple years ago.

March 8, 2018 - I don’t know how they figured the drinking window. I’m saying 2020 is more likely. My bottle was bought fresh on release and stored right but it is not at the end of life. I didn’t decant and as said previously it was improved after being open an hour. I had it with lamb shank and that was a perfect match.
