May 10, 2020 - Smooth finish with a hint of black tea the nose is full of rose petals and ripened blackberries .
Ready to drink
August 13, 2018 - My second bottle. Drink up soon. I don’t think can get any better. Still excellent! My last bottle was better.
April 23, 2017 - Tasted blind. EtOH and oak hits me hard on the nose, but some nice cedar wood aromas lie underneath. Big, extracted fruit that gives rich flavors of boysenberry pie and vanilla. Seems young, and somewhat modern in style.
June 22, 2016 - Didn't take details, though the last glass was better than the first.
June 15, 2016 - Still big and beautiful
April 1, 2016 - Rockin' big wine. Complete and balanced. Drinking very well.
April 12, 2015 - Color: still a nearly opaque ruby -> deep ruby rim with just the slightest hint of garnet. Still amazingly concentrated. Explosive bouquet of olive tapenade, leather, minerals, tar and garrigue. Massive, delicious palate. Mineral driven black fruit; ouzo, olives, bacon, leather and roasted meat. Rich and fat with that 15.6% alcohol truly NOT a factor. Ridiculously long, long finish that stretches out for miles; like driving on the Alban autobahn. Grand Cru California Syrah for sure and strutting its stuff now and into the pleasantly foreseeable future.
April 11, 2015 - Wow, restaurant decanted for our 15th anniversary. Licorice, tar, raspberries, complex and deep. love it! could have used more time decanting.
January 16, 2015 - These are spectacular. Delicious ripe and balanced. So much going on. Love these.
April 27, 2014 - Delicious. Sweet, ripe. Perfectly mature but far from going downhill. Blackberries, blueberries, tar and crème de cassis. Long, lingering aftertaste with blackberries, flowers and some tar.
