February 3, 2023 - I had this once before and it was corked, this time, wow. In the glass it was actually a very light and pale colour with clear bricking. Some at the table thought 80s burgundy from the colour. The nose was also a delightful array of secondary and tertiary notes, but the palate still had a lot of fruit. I called 2000s from a lighter vintage (2001 or 2007) as there were lots of red fruits and gold acidity. Quite a light and elegant palate. All in all. Stunning ! From SJW

September 30, 2022 - Opened and needed at least 3 hours of air but once it got going this was lovely vosne spices and delicate florals

February 26, 2022 - shared with pat at selkirk manor. celebrating open that bottle night. paired with prime fillet mignon. after a fifty year wine journey, this is probably the most expensive wine that we have tasted. i selected this wine for tonight due to a lack of consensus amongst professional reviewers and other ct members regarding recommended drinking range. i did not want to risk losing this gem to the ravages of time. for such a significant wine, i should have taken written notes. alas, i was derelict in my duty. from memory, this is quintessential vosne. it offers what i call vinosity to refer to how it invades the sinuses. mostly earthy/terroir notes. modest red fruit. perhaps it needed more air. it certainly has many more years of evolution ahead. while the wine is excellent, the market commands a 50% premium because of rarity due to the small production parcel and the fact that potel has sold the property. personally i would rather enjoy two bottles of something less rare at $200 each.

September 19, 2021 - This was maturing nicely. Floral nose, lovely minerale, dense delicious. Good fruit concentration with dark berries. Got better with more air.

August 10, 2021 - I should have decanted this one. Initially fairly closed, it did open in the glass over the course of the evening. As with the 2002, tons of Vosne spice on the nose, also red fruit and soil, with a mild stems character. Long finish. This one needs more time.
