July 14, 2019 - Some tasty stuff here. Didn't take detailed notes, but this looks a bit like a 15 year old wine with some bricking on the edges, but tastes extremely young.
July 2, 2019 - In a great spot right now - no reason to hold any longer.
May 25, 2019 - Beautiful Brunello typicity, great balance and complexity. Seems to be at peak though no danger of decline anytime soon.
March 24, 2019 - Corked!
March 21, 2019 - Decanted for about an hour. Excellent Brunello
February 8, 2019 - Tasty stuff and nicely mature. I had this wine about 5 years ago, and it has mellowed a bit since then. Still good complexity, wonderful Tuscan character, and long finish.
January 31, 2019 - Still very young, took an hour to open up. Dusty, airy fruit, animal/leather notes. Tightly knit, great structure. Focused and precise. Outstanding wine with more to come.
November 18, 2018 - While not an overly nuanced or complex version, it delivers as the "tipica" for a normale Brunello. Great sour red cherry bite with very soft tannins and not really any sediment. Has a bit of the leather/tobacco elements and dustiness one expects and while seemingly starting a bit lean upon opening, really comes alive after an hour of so and with grilled beef and robust vegetables as it is oriented towards.
October 23, 2018 - Splash decanted and drank at dinner party. No detailed notes. Excellent. Well-received.
October 7, 2018 - Double decanted for sediment but there wasn't any...I didn't think it would need much air and I was right...ready to go right away. Red fruit leads the way on the nose and palate followed by forest floor and herbs, framed well with acidity. Much fresher than I was anticipating, definitely ready to go by could hold a couple more years.
