May 7, 2020 - My last bottle. Similar notes. Nutmeg, spice, and bacon. Getting leaner with sharper acidity than yesteryears.

August 15, 2018 - Three bottles opened one after another. All had volatile acidity flaw, smelled like turpentine, the one least affected was very corked. None was close to drinkability, even if one were to accept a less than perfect wine. What is annoying is that a bottle of Les Clos 2001 Delas Freres Crozes Hermitages opened today too also smelled of turpentine. A 2007 Chateaneuf du Pape Haut Pierre of Delas Freres also opened today is drinkable and needs overnight breathing to better judge tomorrow. In all my time of collecting and storing fine wines of over twenty years, I have had volatile acidity once prior and now four bottles from two vintages from the same producer is s bit much.

    April 20, 2014 - 12,5% d'alcool, 100% Syrah

December 18, 2011 - Served as part of a blind tasting of shiraz/syrah. Stood out immediately. Floral nose and sweet tobacco that is quite fetching. In the mouth a bit lean compared with the other new world shiraz in the tasting. Excellent drink.

July 27, 2011 - Medium red. Lots of dark fruit, pepper and bacon. Maybe not as intense as early bottles. Still excellent and very good QPR.

July 23, 2011 - Bill's Summer Garden Offline (Vancouver, BC): Medium red in colour. At first lots of manure and barnyard notes but those eventually blew off leaving nice aromas of meat, dark fruits, bacon and pepper. Nice length and well balanced. Drinks well now and will age and develop further. Excellent.
