March 6, 2023 - Exceptional bottle. Still very balanced ... acidity, fruit, tannins. Dusty to slightly grainy tannins but not overwhelming. Dark fruit, bitter not sweet. Long finish.

July 26, 2022 - Drinking nicely. Tannins still dusty and still a bit chewy, dark, brooding. Getting some dark berry fruit, plums, bitterness, black tea. Still good acidity. Some spices, leather, on a long finish. But overall I get the tannic bite, bitter fruits, tea. Nice mix. I think the tannins should soften with more aging, but will the fruit still be there ?

October 24, 2021 - I knew it was a bit of a gamble and that it might be too early. Spoiler alert - it was. Very tight and brooding and, even after a few hours decant, still very tannic. I enjoyed it, but I don't think grippy reds are a wasted bottle of wine. I don't have much experience with older bottles from this producer, but I doubt this wine is finished developing at such an early age, so I expect it would have been better-served with more time in the cellar or (a lot) more air. If you lean towards softer edges (my wife was done after her first glass), try opening it the day before, or give it a hard (and much longer) decant.
