September 23, 2023 - Final bottle of 3 purchased. Last consumed 2 yrs prior.
This was a bit closed and reticent upon decant, but blossomed over an hour.
No formal note but all present loved it.
    Drank alongside a 2007 Pommard 1er Rugiens.

August 27, 2023 - Pale ruby, almost transparent. Forward nose of red cherry fruit with earthy wood undertones, pure. The palate is silky, yet structured, very fine tannins still present, mid-palate very satisfying and trails of to a long balanced finish. This wine is as elegant is it gets. Just entering the prime drinking window but the structure suggest it has many years to go.

May 15, 2023 - Moderate (+) ruby in the glass. Beautifully open nose right from the start and not showing any decline whatsoever. Nice complexity coming from the oak as well. Palate is generous, but never overdone or cloying. Real Pinot Noir elegance here. This is a beast that will go strong for a few more decades. Easily WOTN.

January 31, 2022 - Chinese Lunar new year lunch, paired with some Blackmore wagyu steaks, beautiful Pinot nose, red fruits, cherries with gamey notes, autumn leaves, spices, on the palate lots of power & elegance, in a lovely spot, outstanding Burgundy

    Day 2
More gamey & sous bois, the type you get from a 20-30yo Burg, v appealing, intense ripe cherries, put on more weight in the mouth

December 10, 2021 - Enjoyed this 2nd bottle (of 3) over 3 days. The wine held up over that entire timeframe, which is remarkable.
Last tasted about 3 yrs prior.
Gorgeous layers of Pinot cherry fruit, wet autumn leaves, forest floor, spearmint, and tree bark.
Just so pretty, floral, and inviting, yet serious on the mid palate, with pure and finely grained tannins, and solid acidity to go the long haul.
A beautiful wine, drink through 2025+.

May 7, 2021 - Belated Birthday Dinner (Nicolas Restaurant, Teck Lim Street, Singapore): An absolutely lovely 2007 Grand Cru. This had a lovely nose - red cherries, darker berries, earth, meat, a little sprinkle of spice, some violet flowers. So pretty. Absolutely drinkable on the palate too - here, bright citrusy acidity and silky tannins framed deliciously soft, velvety flavours of red cherries and slightly darker wild berry flavours. Pure, transparent and energetic, with a lovely nervous 2007 feel to it, all leading into a really nicely defined finish - this lined with a touch of spice and a good spine of stony mineral. Delicious. Such a lovely mouthful, and drinking beautifully now too. Super stuff.

March 8, 2021 - Dinner with the Litigators' Wine Group (East Treasure): Super. This was a really attractive Charmes, drinking very nicely now too. The nose was starting to show some secondary notes, with a nice melange of forest floor and broiled meats, sour plums and black cherries, and then a nice touch florals and spice around the edges. Very attractive. The palate was drinking really nicely - bright and lively, with a velvety flutter of fine-boned tannins and a lovely lick of 2007 acidity lapping against a clear core of red cherries and berries, and then a little earth. I loved the elegant purity on this. Limpid and transparent, with such an eloquent expression of its terroir - this was so very drinkable. Lovely finish too, with little flecks of earth and mineral, slowly giving way to a little blush of dried flowers.
