December 27, 2022 - Still drinkable. Hard to tell it was ever Zinfandel. Still interesting. Long finish. Red fruits still there. Stored perfectly since purchased from the winery.
December 15, 2022 - Popped and poured...still dark red in color with plenty of fruit and a medium finish...loving Turleys with some age.
February 25, 2022 - Light on the palate, strawberries and on the sweeter side for my taste. Stereotypical California Zin.
November 22, 2018 - From a magnum signed by Larry and Tegan and served with the Thanksgiving meal. Past prime, unfortunately. Hot on the palate with spice overwhelming the remaining fruit. There were leftovers on this one; never a good sign. Pass.
November 15, 2018 - Spectacular wine! Well structured, great fruit!
September 2, 2018 - Opened at a party, so only got a taste. Nothing like an old Juvenile--still hanging in there.
June 29, 2016 - Excellent with simple dinner flavors of buckwheat, chard, beef in morel sauce, salty sheep cheese.
Tending toward brick at the edge. Unified flavors of grape with warm steel; no pronounced earthiness or sharpness or spice. Long and big enough to complement the meal, but no competitive edge. Fairly soft, but still very drinkable. There's enough to this wine that it could last longer, but it's definitely ready.
June 21, 2016 - Cherries, rosebuds, lingonberries, nice acidity, concentrated, light on the oak, great zinfandel!
May 6, 2016 - Drinking beautifully right now - can't imagine it was ever better.
Rich nose - rich palate - long finish . Community drinking notes says drink by 2013. This wine is very enjoyable in 2016. Tons of fruit a bit black pepper a bit tannic that has dissolved nicely.
April 23, 2016 - just right in terms of age and time to open it.
