  June 6, 2018 - Wow this has really matured beautifully - a funky, spicy, red-fruited nose. Maybe a (pleasing) touch of brett. On the palate very zesty, a touch of roasted tomato skin. Bright and interesting. The label says 15.1%. I would have guessed mid-13s.

  November 8, 2010 - A nose of vibrant red and black raspberry, intense Asian spice, some tomato skin, burnished wood, hay and face powder. Luscious, creamy in the mouth, but with a good acid spine. A more earthy edge to the flavors. Spicy, tart red fruit finish of excellent length. This is getting better. Enigmatic, though perhaps a little harsh and rambunctious for some?

  October 10, 2010 - Better the second day, so this probably could have benefited from decanting. Second day, tannins softened.

  April 14, 2010 - A forceful, succulent nose of black cherry, boysenberry, a slight sage note, dust, hay and crisp tomato skin. The flavors closely reflect the aromas with a racy, acid driven profile. A long finish with predominant notes of slate, blood orange, and peppery spice. A little unformed at this point but should develop very nicely over the next 3-5 years.
