December 26, 2018 - Shared this wine with friends at Christmas Eve dinner. Superb compliment to standing prime rib. Well balanced with great intensity and mouth feel. just enough acid/tannin to balance a well marbled piece of beef.

November 23, 2016 - Auction purchase. Large-scaled while being light on its feet with good acid and soft tannins balancing the ample fruit. In a good spot now, but with plenty of aging potential.

August 26, 2012 - I think this needs a bit more time; not quite as smooth as other vintages of this wine. Still a very nice wine.

July 18, 2010 - Interesting and different from many Napy 05 Cabs. Deep purple and opaque in color, with pleasant nose of fruit and smoky vanilla, follows on the palate with an interesting and complex flavor profile of blackberry, cassis, cedar and an herbacious but pleasant undertone that offers promise for cellaring. A nice medium finish, and a very Bordeaux-like profile that is definitely enhanced by new-world fruit. Wish I had a time machine to resample in 7 or 8 years. Very good.

September 22, 2009 - Dark ruby/purple opaque color with a dark berry nose. Still tightly wound, it has a nice full mouthfeel with dark berry, oak and earth flavors. Pleanty of structure with slightly rough, drying tannins, good balance and a medium finish. All the components of a very nice wine are there, but it is not really ready yet. I shared it with 4 others and everyone thought it was very good. I would give it about 3-5 years to evolve.
