March 10, 2013 - Consistent with previous notes. Popped and poured, there is a nice freshness, bright red fruits, and nice level of acidity that make this work wonderfully with food. I get the sense of dark organic soil, with a stony minerality as well.

September 16, 2012 - Very nice earthiness, mushrooms, forest floor, and good acidity. As the wine opens the ripe red fruits come out with spicy notes. This has a nice finesse and balance with a softer mouth feel. Excellent accompaniment with food and could work with lighter dishes.

May 27, 2012 - This was really delicious; all about earthy red fruit and youthful persistence, this welterweight surprised with its length and depth. Rustic for sure, but well made and very enjoyable.

May 23, 2012 - Awesome little bottle at this point--light fruit, raspberries, sour cherries. Lots of acidity, good with food. The nose is definitely funky, but don't be put off. After an hour, the fruit dies out on the palate and is replaced by more earth tones and mushrooms.

May 15, 2012 - Very delicate. Floral aroma and very soft and light mouthfeel. Undertones of orange blossom.

November 20, 2011 - Extremely austere, seemed like early stage of corking. Though it's interesting to see the reviews below. We did give it about 2 hours in the open bottle, and did not notice any change.

July 3, 2011 - Definitely decant, I gave it 90 minutes, after which the nose was strawberry with an herbal component, then pie crust. Mouth was full of cherries, iron and underbrush.

June 19, 2011 - Very closed nose, even after 1 hour of decanting. The faint aromas of ripe raspberries and cherries on an earthy bed were lovely though. The flavors really came through on the palate, and the mouthfeel was fantastic- silky smooth, lean and elegant. Bright acidity, perfectly round and balanced. The finish was disappointingly abrupt. We noticed the wine began to open up even more at the end of the night- perhaps it could have used another hour in the decanter. The closed nose and short finish were the only qualities that prevented me from scoring this great bargain burgundy 90 points.
