  January 27, 2023 - Similar to my 7/4/2020 TN, although best described by La Cave d'Argent's TN - this wine is in a perfect place and is absolutely luxurious! Sweet, rich but not over the top with extremely well-tamed tannins. An absolute delight!!

  December 31, 2022 - Just a gorgeous Napa Cab this evening.
  No formal TN, this wine was rich, regal, and elegant, with beautiful black fruits, alongside earthy minerality.
  The tannins are nicely resolving, and the acidity keeps the big and bold wine quite refreshing.
  Drink through 2027 or so.

  November 21, 2022 - This blew me away, and hopefully the next 4 bottles will also. Great nose on opening, ripe beautiful fruit. With time noted distinct dark ripe cherry fruit (I usually don't like cherry). Very good finish.

Last of 6 bottles purchased in 4/2010 and this wine showed no real change in color and fruit was still bright but some nice tobacco/cedar notes apparent as well. For a "hot" vintage, this wine was made to age. 93+

  August 19, 2022 - Larkmead's 2007 Estate Cab is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Merlot and 1% Cabernet Franc that was aged for 18 months in French oak barriques (56% new). From a well-cellared bottle, it was popped and poured, being tasted in double-blind fashion over a two-hour period. Seeming to fully open after the first hour in glass, it unfurls an aromatic array of black currants, dark plums, fig, lavender, cigar tobacco and cocoa. Opaque red/garnet, full-bodied, freshly acidic and seamlessly alcoholic (14.5%), it delivers flavors mirroring the nose, adding notes of graham cracker spice and savory herbs. At this stage the tannins are quite supple and the wood has fully integrated. Dense on the mid-palate and very long on the back end, this is a hedonistic Napa Cab that is easily recognizable as such. Comparably cellared bottles will last at least another 10 years. Drink now-2032.
