August 7, 2022 - Took a few minutes to open up, but when it did it was very good. Started off smokey and then became classic aged CdP. Continued to develop in the glass. Very nice.

June 10, 2022 - Deep dark color. Nose of cherry. Rich palate of red fruit, cherry, chocolate and cherry seeds with medium oak tannins. Very good wine. Bolder on first day but easy drinking on second day.

May 5, 2022 - Same as previous note

April 30, 2022 - Opened for lunch and served with homemade Wild Mushroom and Chestnut Risotto. Popped amd poured (no need to decant) and drank over the course of 2 hours.

Nose - Lively, old-school CDP nose, with hints of earth, berries, dark fruit, espresso and leather. Developed some port and cognac notes after 45 minutes in the glass, suggesting of age.

Mouth - medium to light bodied, round with soft tannins. Good fruit, plum and some more port on the mid-palate, with some mild tartness on the finish.

A tasty CDP but quite straightforward and lacking in depth, complexity and length. Still enjoyable, and definitely has character, but no more than 88 points on the day.

I have one more of these which I will be drinking soon as I don't expect this to get better.
