March 15, 2018 - Perfectly sound and lively. Rich dark fruit, smooth texture, good acidity, overall quite clean flavors per Cottarella's wine-making. Great match with wine braised lamb in anchovies and a little crushed red pepper, duck fat roasted potatoes. It's had plenty of time to develop, but didn't offer anything breathtakingly tertiary so we will drink a second cellared bottle soon.

June 3, 2014 - Starting to fade, stewed dark fruits, forest floor, thins out on the mid palate...drink up

November 27, 2011 - Gorgeous nose, big and powerful fruits. Though palate doesn't quite have the same power. More on the light side but with very nice cherries and a decent finish. Not a whole lot of complexity but drinks very nicely. Will need to see how this evolves in the glass.

Day 2 and this didn't get any better, in fact it has gotten worse. A vey hollow mid palate to a zero finish. Dissapointing.

April 16, 2011 - What is the English word for "zondoorstoofd" black fruit. Sun stewed? Full of ripe black fruit. I liked it quite a lot. But this is more a wine for a windy autumn evening.

April 13, 2011 - wine evening hosted by Yoram (at Yoram Solberg): strong stinky smell that didn't leave the wine; also unpleasant taste; seems a clear case of TCA.
