October 25, 2020 - Strawberry on the nose. On the palate, cherry, strawberry, and notes of plum, leather, and savory herbs, with light tannins and well-balanced acidity. This shows more elegance than power, and tertiary notes are starting to appear. This has a few years left, but it isn't going to improve from here. It was an excellent value at about $40 when it was released.

June 22, 2019 - Enjoyed this 2004 with a rare to medium rare petite bison filet w/ sauteed/reduced mushrooms (potato and carrots too). This wine exhibited notes typical of older Brunello's; specifically what we noted was subtle, dried rose intermixed with a cherry hint (dried). The acidity was moderate and finished with a silky tannic pleasantry. Lamentably, this was our last bottle.

July 22, 2018 - Leather. Still has some cherry tannin pucker happening.

May 29, 2018 - Nose shows almost all tertiary notes and almost no pure fruit notes. Lots of old leather, mint, dried herbs. Palate still shows some red cherry but with mint and spearmint with tingly acidity. Tannins have really smoothed out but are definitely still present. Still drinking well but not a lot of time left.
