July 6, 2020 - 2nd time I have had this wine. No formal notes but it seems to be fading a little. 88 points.

August 17, 2019 - At peak, with a lovely blend of sweet fruit, brown spice aged tones and a stony finsih. Hard to fathom that such a fun, ageworthy wine was just $17 when it was released. The “little” wines from 2001 are showing very well now.

June 2, 2019 - My bottle. Last of 3 bought on release from PC for like $17.99. It wasn't in the actual cellar and I had no idea of the conditions in the area it was in except a lot of bottles lost labels or had them damaged. So when I grabbed this I was curious to see how it held up. As usual, nothing to worry about - this seemed pristine to me and just in a lovely spot. Medium white gold in color and a nose of lime, mint, slate, green and red apple, some herbs - right when poured this is super sharp and lively with surprising cut. With some time in the glass it loses a little cut but each new pour reset that. Palate is similar: what really gets me about wine is how crisp and sharp it is at age 18 or so. Lots of lime, mint and herbs and slate and minerals. Crisp lime and mineral finish. So poised and lithe - I reallt dig this. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1.5/2 = 16.5/20.

November 24, 2017 - All gone. A pity, but there it is. Wonderful wine for a Thanksgiving dinner.

September 20, 2016 - Such an understated, humble wine. While it's getting a bit long in the tooth, and should be consumed in the next few years, it's still highly enjoyable now and had no problem delivering the goods after a full 2 hours in my glass. Which is to say that even as it warmed to room temp, the acids were cool enough to keep this balanced - something easier said than done. A treat with the pork dish, but also with the crab cakes, the mussels, the pate, etc. 7,0% abv, iirc. recommended

PnP, served non-blind at ~ 50F. Cork soaked 100%, removed with an Ah So, in tact.
