September 16, 2020 - Ready to go with still fresh and primary cherry fruit. Made complex with additions of balsamico, dried florals, licorice and spice. Juicy and rich with fine tannic structure. Should hold for a decade+ but don’t see it getting much better.

December 14, 2019 - Decanted ~8 hours. This threw off A TON of sediment. Awesome nose of balsamico, black cherry and dried florals. Good freshness on the palate. Classic in flavor and proportion. An overachiever, for sure.

June 2, 2017 - Decanted for 1-2h in Sausalito at Dev Com. Enjoyed by all, still plenty of tannins, my favorite WOTN. No detailed notes but consistent with my previous note.

July 26, 2016 - Decanted for 1h, from a magnum at Garth's party. This is a massive wine, wafts of smoky oak, raw meat, and mascerated red fruit on the nose and palate. Prominent tannins and a long finish. Only faint bricking around the edges of the wine glass, seems much younger than 26 years! At least in magnums this has at least 3-5 more years to go, no problem. This easily held its own tonight among two "100 pointers" from CA and Bdx.

February 7, 2014 - Dark roasted nose (not pruney or overripe), chocolate powder, roasted coffee, dark fruit, fennel, celery salt - savory aspects. Deep and dark. Matt says 'cloves' which is a good call too. Thick and dark on the palate with coffee, blackberry. Thick dusty tannins, dry, soy, sweet fruit at the end palate and finish. Not profound but quite tasty and refined. Nose - 5/6, Palate - 5/6, Finish - 5/6, Je ne Sais Quoi - 1/2 = 16/20.
