December 19, 2020 - Fully mature now, but still utterly satisfying. Old-school Chateauneuf du Pape, airy and light with a lean body, showing faded cherry fruit, herbs and spices. Very complex, mostly on tertiary notes, but is easy to drink because of the lightness. 13.5% alc. Don’t wait too long with this.

October 19, 2019 - Wow, a bit of leakage, and it took a two prong and a corkscrew to slowly remove cork, but really nice, a bit of prune, no Brett, or oak, just nice aged, rich CDP. Remember purchasing from the Prestige et Tradition in downtown CDP. Really nice fellow at the cash register, and pallets of the Bosquet shrink rapped going to Denver on the floor, waiting shipment. Yum!

November 30, 2018 - Beautiful color, a little bricking on the edge. Restrained nose but came around in 30 minutes or so with red fruits, mushroom, and nice acidity. Tannins intact, still firm.

January 28, 2018 - Color: Medium Garnet with bricking
Nose: Mushrooms! with herbs, earth, a little funky
Palete: Soft acidity, dried red fruit (raspberry, strawberry), a bit of mushroom earthiness
Body: Lithe, more like a Burgundy than a Rhone, not shy but graceful
Finish: Long, lingering, dried red berry fruit, soft tannins, lingering hint of cinnamon

This is long past its lush, sensuous time, and yet a very pleasant wine, like a "Grand Dame" with elegance, poise and character.

July 14, 2016 - better than last bottle, this is a fully mature chateaupneuf du pape, with ripe cherry, spice and earth flavors. Smooth and drinking beautifully.

January 10, 2014 - Following up on the plan outlined in my previous tastings, I decanted my last bottle for an hour before consuming with a provençal dinner. Tight with some restrained fruit (currant & berries) balanced with acid and tannins. The finish is similar also restrained. Now that all my bottles are gone, I think I made a mistake. I should have ignored the "drink by" recommendations and waited a couple of years. I suspect that the wine was in a dormant, dumb phase and with more time would have melded into a more interesting, mature character.

November 10, 2013 - Fading, time to drink up. Raisined and candied red fruit. Leather and tobacco with a bit of white pepper.
