January 27, 2022 - Tasting the Americans (Chez Nous): Ruby, cloudy and light opacity with a touch garnet around the edges. On the nose is sour and red cherries with ash tray and cola notes. On the palate there is good acidity and the fruit darkens along the profile. This is American in style but if there is anything Burgundian in style it is not the nose but maybe the fruit concentration found in premier and grand crus. Well balanced and long finishing. Delicious.

November 25, 2017 - Just as lovely and adorable tonight as compared to earlier tastings. The 2007 Antica Terra is showing its very best sides tonight with vivid sun warm orange zest, red currant, subtle saddle leather and a perfect tone of rainy deciduous forest. The nose is actually rather stunning and close to profound. The palate has integration as its No.1 keyword and adds very nicely to the overall experience. The balance is striking and the length on the finish lasts a minute or more. Certainly hittings its prime drinking window right now, I am not certain if this effort will last for another 5 or 10 years - but it certainly is a treat tonight. (score is 94+)

October 19, 2017 - Delicious. Wild cherry, earth, medium+ length finish. Keeps getting better each time I open a bottle, but only one left!

March 18, 2017 - Complex and compelling nose. Dark cherries, spice and undergrowth. Palate a little jammy and warm, but still decent drinking. I don't suspect this will get any better from here. (91 Very good wine)

December 15, 2016 - End of Project Supper 5 (Le Trader, Harris Street, Pyrmont): Stalky, red cherry, cream and vanilla. Quite fleshy on the palate, a little fresh but underpinned by a stalky sourness. Not as good as I remember it.

December 4, 2016 - Coravin fun - semi global pinot (Kennards, Waterloo): From Coravin. Slight burnt stalk note over cherry, sweet spice and leather. More generous on the palate with cherry, slight burnt coffee and some stalks. Tannins are just about present but pretty much resolved. Nice but probably drink up for me.

May 16, 2016 - Kleur: Fluwelig roze rood. Aroma / bouquet: Fruitella fruit. Bosaardbeitjes, frambozen. Geconfijte kers en speculaas. Sigaren kistjes hout. 50 + Kleur: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 9 + Smaak / Afdronk: 13 + Algemeen / potentieel: 7 = 84/100

    Google Translate:

Color: rose Velvety red Aroma / bouquet:. Fruitella fruit. Wild strawberries, raspberries. Candied cherry and gingerbread. Cigar boxes wood. Taste / Finish: Refreshing acidity, buttery soft tannins with a subtle bite, creamy mouthfeel. Finish above average long General / potential:. Seductive and friendly wine. Not my thing. Too artificial, too sweet, too much 'Fruitella (Starburst and Chewits). The proof that Pinot Noir produces fine wines. In France and Germany. Not in the New World. 50+ Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: 9 + Taste / Finish: 13 + General / potential: 7 = 84/100

February 27, 2016 - Nice delicate red cherry fruit with lovely baking spices throught. Nice sweetness and a certain earthy appeal. Very well balanced and seamless. Nice finish. Quite sophisticated and in its prime now. Very good stuff, especially with dinner.

March 20, 2015 - WB & KM come visiting (My place, parramatta, sydney): Cherry spice and slight leather as well as a kind of herbaceous/stalky note and touches of sour cream. Also coffee and chocolate on the nose. In the mouth the wine is quite savoury with leathery tannins and muted cherry but all quite juicy and rather pleasant.
