February 25, 2022 - Still young and fruity. Needed a 3 hour decant. Very enjoyable.
January 14, 2022 - This was one of the best of the of the 05s I have had so far. So much crème de cassis flavors and dark fruit but balanced by a nice acidity from start to finish. Went great with steaks... my go to wine with steaks these days. The opulence brings out the flavors of the meat... like peanut butter and jelly
October 27, 2021 - Slightly less opulent than the other ones I had. Needed a decant to open up. Went great with steak. Lots of dark fruit but also lots and lots of suspended deposits so decant the wine carefully first if you don't want your experience to be ruined.
October 23, 2021 - Dark purple in the glass. Cherry and raspberry on the nose. Mocha and mint on the palate with a layer of berries underneath.
October 16, 2021 - Was good but not as good as my last ones, a little less fruit than usual
August 22, 2021 - Great as before, benefits from 30 minutes of air time (but don't wait too long!)
August 19, 2021 - Big round fruit on the nose but more restrained fruit and complexity on the palate. Lots of tobacco, earth and mineral. Sour cherries. Big acid and still quite grippy tannins. Lots of sediment so decant carefully if you can (I was in a hotel so more challenging!). Very enjoyable for the price point and nice to be able to pick up an older vintage at K&L to drink now.

June 19, 2021 - Lots of fruit but no heaviness with a good amount of acidity. Very pleasing
