December 2, 2023 - Excellent vin. la très grande puissance (16 degrés) ne se fait pas ressentir grâce a la finesse des aromes et du toucher en bouche.
c'est complexe et prêt a boire

February 9, 2023 - Zombie wines of North London (Terra Rossa): OMG - 16% CNDP... really not good, and I like CNDP! Glad to have tried it as a curiosity.

February 9, 2023 - Zombie Wines at Terra Rossa (Terra Rossa, Islington): To be fair it does not taste as hot as 16% might suggest, but it is not an easy tipple by any means. Decent dark fruits, a little plum and prune, quite spicy and deep. Elegant it is not though, and even knowing its abv makes me immediately predisposed against it I am sad to say. People should not be allowed to make wine at this level!

June 11, 2022 - Surprisingly primary flavours even after 15 years - very fruit forward. Not that tannic. I’d never have guessed that this was 15 years old. *Fantastic* length. Slightly hesitant to score it as I’m conscious that CNDP with this level of alcohol (16%!) is rarely my bag - and indeed it wasn’t really, and the alcohol heat definitely made its presence felt. This was the first of a 6 bottle case - I’ll be putting the other 5 back in the cellar for at least 4 more years, and adjusting my CT drinking window accordingly.

February 28, 2021 - So much better than previous bottle several years ago. Very mellow and singing as soon as the cork was pulled. Rich , dark fruit with with a long strong finish

April 30, 2020 - Decanted. Takes about 45 min to open up, but pretty narrow window - about 15 min when it's nice enough. Some bitter notes dominate before and after. not obviously flawed or oxidised. Maybe that's the end of the road for this one. Disappointing.
The 2006 Cuvee Etienne Gonnet we tried from Coravin after this, was much better.

October 4, 2019 - Bottle, just decanted: Similar notes to previous tasting except that less pruney. Will need some time to breathe as palate is lacking. Note to self: Previous bottle may have been overexposed to heat given the time of year.

June 23, 2019 - Coravin - Medium ruby. Usual perfumed nose. Well integrated tannins with the sweet black fruit and good acidity to balance. Lighter, less rich and less heat vs. the FdM Etienne Gonnet 2007. Medium length.
Bottle, decanted - Perfumed garrigue nose, sweet black fruit, soy sauce notes. Soft, sweet black fruit, pruney, some light meaty notes. 89-91.

Excellent. 93 pts
