April 24, 2023 - Hot and disjointed, with a peculiar green pepper note mid-palate.
One of the grapes in the blend aged more rapidly than others. The cabernet is still very much present, but there's an odd acid burn beginning mid-palate, before becoming quite hot on the aft.
Drink up.
March 17, 2012 - Drank as first red of the night with Dan, Kim & Kristie at Russet
Popped and poured (through aerator)
Solid "food wine" - nicely balanced acidity & tanins
Good nose of summer fruit and spice
A fairly hefty drop that'd go well with a steak.
January 30, 2011 - Very nice. A bit tight upon opening. Paired well with a nutty cheddar. Plenty of structure in there to hold a couple more years.
July 25, 2010 - This is a well balanced wine which will only get better over time. Upon opening the bottle you are immediately hit by spice on the nose and a bend of fruit, acidity and tannin on the palate. After 24 hours, these components evolved into a beautifully balanced cab blend which was great with aged manchego
January 11, 2010 - A little tannic; good the second night.
April 7, 2009 - Good firm tannins; great with steak.
