November 30, 2022 - 'Le Lievre a la Royale' Long Lunch (cafe EPURE, Shop 403, inside Epure, Level 4, Ocean Centre, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong): Bright advanced canary yellow but still very jewelled and fresh-looking. Nose is fresh, minerally, touches of flint stones, very slight unsweetened popcorn, hints of lanolin, the oak treatment is very lightly deftly done. Palate has a super refreshing lemon zest acidity and cut. Very citrus in character but with some schist stone minerality to compliment it. Quite heady in a slow-mounting resonance and reverberance inside the head on a very long finish. 93+ Thanks, Olivier!

June 24, 2019 - Relatively rare wine of course - about 1000 cases in 2001. Fully mature, still healthy, but somehow not as exciting as you might hope given scarcity and price.

May 18, 2015 - Yellow looking. Cake and butter on the nose at first and then the second glass came along with minerals and caramel. There was no layer on the palate but still a decent one given the price. Medium length after-taste.

May 18, 2015 - Citrus fruit, apple, butter, cake, caramel and minerals on the nose. The palate was full of apple...although the palate was not complex, it is drinking very well now. Acidity is still very high. Aftertaste was a tiny bit bitter. Overall a decent wine for the price.

(Vougeraie Vougeot Clos Blanc de Vougeot) There's a touch of honey on the nose, faint melon too. The palate is a little shy and and understated - but it's finely constructed - long and complex with good minerality. This is a young but super wine, really fine.
