August 24, 2015 - Drinking very well. Fruit up front with blackberry, dark cherry and coffee. Tannins are gone and the color is beautiful. Time to enjoy this one.

April 1, 2013 - We drank the 2007 T Bar T and the 2006 T Bar T together as a vertical so here is the combined tasting note with individual scores per tasting. 2006: nose: Vegetal, green pepper, touch of prune, mushroom, herbal notes, secondary nose/fruit from age. Good heat, though. Palate: milk chocolate, middle of the tongue tannin structure, raspberry, dried cherry, smooth and soft fruit, chewy. nice all in, can tell this will age nicely but nothing really special (I prefer the merlot of T Bar T) 2007: Opened one of these and thought it was off so opened a second and it was the same. Not sure on this one, very confusing...Nose: Dead, soft cherry, little heat maybe even a little fishy on the first bottle. Palate, still had alcohol, touch of dark muddled berry and blueberry, tart, tight, weird. little soapy, soft fruit, dead, zero zip and zero extraction. really disappointing on both these. Find it hard to imagine both bottles were bad but could be? Maybe heat damage (which would be odd since came in a larger shipments and other things okay) or cork taint? Either way, the 2007 was off and reserving score as a result. Would be curious to hear others on this. 2006 nothing all that special, but better than the 2007.

February 10, 2013 - Good, not great. "Regular" Hall cab is much better. If you own or buy, a 60+ minute decant makes all the difference in the world. Medium bodied, little acidity, but pretty one dimensional.

December 20, 2012 - Good wine, a little stark but seemed nicer this time around.

October 26, 2012 - Needed a few minutes after opening (moved too fast and had the first taste too soon, within first 5 minutes). Decent initial nose, albeit a bit stark at such an early point, later nose much smoother. Nice flavor, but not a rich or really full taste. Overall a good, not great wine.
