February 5, 2022 - Needs some air. Then is sous bois and earthy but not great. Haha, has my palate gotten finer or has this wine aged poorly?
December 15, 2019 - Decanted for one hour. Aromas of black cherry, mushroom, licorice and damp earth. Cherry, earth and hint of anise on the palate. Pure and crisp. Finishes with good length. Medium bodied. Served with blackened black sea bass.
October 17, 2019 - sous bois and earthy.
November 10, 2018 - Presenting extremely well. Great balance of acidity, fruit and earthiness. Tannic fortitude, complex flavors, moderately lengthy finish. Classy. Plenty of time left...serve chilled.
June 6, 2016 - Aerated with a Vinturi. Aromas and flavors of cherry, herbs de provence, earth and mushroom. Nuanced and well balanced, leads to a medium to long finish. Medium bodied. Paired with grilled salmon.
November 5, 2015 - very tasty with a great aroma. Quite Burgundian. Enough tannin and body remain to last another 5+ years with proper cellaring. Took about an hour to open but was well worth the wait.
November 1, 2014 - Seems to be aging in place from two years ago. Very burgundian nose and palate - ripe sour cherry wet earth elegance mushrooms. Yes!
February 21, 2014 - Aerated with a Vinturi and decanted for one hour. Aromatic nose of cherry, forest floor, strawberry, blackberry and earth. Dark cherry, mushroom, forest floor, mineral and fine tannins on the palate lead to a long, smooth dry finish. Medium bodied and well balanced. Paired with fettuccine alfredo and roasted broccoli.
June 26, 2013 - Bright and lively with strawberry and a touch of mushroom. A good drinkable wine right now.
June 18, 2013 - Ripe raspberry and blackberry on the nose as well as mushrooms and some minerality. Palate confirms the nose, sweet medium tannins, alcohol is well balanced. Overall a nice wine but not very complex.
