July 29, 2020 - Mix of boysenberry, blackberry, cassis, earth, and a hint of tar on the nose. Cedar, oak, spice and cocoa also appear on the palate. Rich, ripe fruit with racy acidity and surprising freshness. Medium to full body with a firm structure and long finish. I've had one or more bottles per year since 2010 and this is as good as any of them. Surprisingly, not a hint of age.

July 26, 2020 - Very nice standard bouquet of Cabernet, with good acidity. Medium body. Balanced. Completely mature and delicious. Considering the vintage, they have done a very good job. Don't keep it longer.

July 17, 2020 - Everyone loved this wine. It was so much better than even the 750 we have had before. We have been saving this 9L bottle for a while and had it with dinner on our 50th Anniversary. We drank most of the bottle (10 of the 12 bottles). I poured the rest into two empty 750s and corked them. Finished it off during the next three days.

July 16, 2020 - Very tasty. Smooth, lots of fruit for 14 year old California cab.

March 29, 2020 - It's been a couple of years since the last bottle was opened, but this first-rate California cabernet still delivers, and is drinking very well. Full fruit, tobacco, tar and spice flavors, with a touch of oak. Consistent with the high wine making standards at CVV.
