August 10, 2023 - This is over the hill. I like mature riesling, but there is not much left but linoleum and some honey

    June 1, 2019 - Consistent w/ my previous note.

December 25, 2018 - Definitely mature and quite enjoyable, but it’s missing the acid to really be great. Rich, toasted coconut, tangerine skin, and petrol. It’s a nice drink, but I’d say consume, as I don’t know that it’s really going uphill.

May 17, 2014 - Golden color. Lovely mature bouquet of orange creamsicle, pineapple, cherries and wet stones. Sweet upon entry. Flavors much like the bouquet with a long, clinging finish of stones, spice, and fruit. Great concentration and wonderful balance. This wine is mature but shows no sign of tiring out. Impressive and delicious.

January 21, 2013 - PNP. Color dark straw. Nose started with intense peach and fruit cocktail with some TDN. Swishing shows considerable bright acid that precedes a tart but medium length finish. Sipping shows rich slippery mouthfeel and more RS. good not great. If you have any it is transitioning to maturity but acid should keep it lively.

(Van Volxem Saar Riesling) One of the best '02's I have tasted so far. Shimmering acidity over a bed of chalky-infused white fruits. Great depth. Now there's the acid I like in my Riesling.
