October 13, 2023 - Tuscan plum, blueberry compote, cedar, currant jelly, graphite aromas. Satiny palate, luscious, very savory and dry, continuing the graphite grip with tannins that seem to coat the tongue. However, the tannins have become lacquered and polished smooth. Very surprising how amazingly tight the wine remains. It has life and gravitas. This wine is done showing off, it can rest on the foundational structure it was born with. (Minutes after, a ripe black cherry retro nasal thrust- the wine is layered) A complete pleasure.

March 10, 2021 - Old school...black cherry, blackberry fruit. Notes of dark chocolate and toasty oak. Smooth tannins, long finish.

July 1, 2018 - Drinking very well right now. Fruit is still front-&-center, but not as much definition as when young. Acid and tannins are well balanced with fruit. Wish I had more.

September 2, 2016 - Heavy pepper aroma. Fun, ripe plums at first taste. Finishes a little flat, light on the tannis. Silky wanting to be rich

August 23, 2013 - Decanted 3 hours prior to tasting. This bottle has become a full bore Napa cab. Mid-palate has broadened beautifully with rich ageing fruit, a touch of cigar box, cedar, and dried herbs. So comfortable, like putting on your favorite sweatshirt.

August 21, 2013 - This wine has really come around. It has softened and smoothed out since the last tasting. A couple hours of decanting helped. Blackberries, black cherry, sweet Oak, hints of dried herbs and soft leather.

April 15, 2013 - Recent update and rating on Z was maintenance - missing bottles. I just tossed rating to adjust inventory. No other way I know on a iPhone. Apologies for mis guidance. I'm sure the wine is very good from what I recall

March 23, 2012 - Popped and poured. The nose is still tight and it's clear this needs more time in the bottle too loosen up. The nose still hints at what is to come with sweet fruit, some heat, mineral and leather. On the palate you get the firm tannins right away but not in a distracting way, mint, leather and strong sweet fruit like strawberry. That sweet fruit lingers all over the mouth for a very long finish. While this could use mor time, it is awesome now. Really good fruit, great structure, firm but well balanced tannins and a long finish. Really good Napa Cab, especially at this price point.

February 18, 2012 - Solid vintage of Zeitgeist, but I prefer the '07.
