May 14, 2014 - Classic yet distinctive. Surprising and a little naughty.

Reading the other notes now, I wonder if there must be a bottle or barrel variation. Or if people were expecting something … else? My couple of bottles so far have been not just enjoyable but interesting too. Packs an initial punch, then a first bitter wave that recedes, followed by surprisingly long cherry pit resurgence. Excellent wine.

February 8, 2013 - did not like much at first, musty. Better day 2 and 3, not so much day 4

November 3, 2012 - I've had other New Zealand wines and other vintages of this wine . . . all's I gotta say is, "eh!".
A slightly musty, very woodsy, backwards fruity/cherry nose.

Unbalanced, slightly bitter, lots of likable vegetal flavors (kind of like the dried veggies in a packet of Lipton Vegetable soup), and cherry flavors. [Could use more fruit expression thought . . .]

Not pleased. Will be looking for a different Kiwi wine!

May 6, 2012 - Perfectly good pinot. Good right out of the bottle. Drank with grilled pork chops and it was a good companion. Tasty, no hard edges, good though not profound.
I tend to like NZ pinots, esp from Martinborough, which is my favorirte region, after having traveled around the country. Tasty but not with a lot complexity.
    Nevertheless, well worth the money.
