November 7, 2021 - Still so much pepper and fruit. Followed a very nice cab so maybe not perfect palate but still wonderful. Our last bottle.

May 31, 2020 - Opened and poured an hour before dinner. Black pepper, dark cherry color. Nose is a bit alcohol. Dinner was steak and it was terrific with this wine. Bottle poured out over three of us.

March 19, 2017 - POP last night with a little bit spicy pasta. lowe expectations but still plenty of fruit and that black pepper spice common to Ziegler Zins. Botte didn't survive the evening so well enjoyed by all

June 29, 2013 - Blind tasting, tasted through a chimichurri beef on barbecue, in France !
Deep hue with orange borders. Nose superb and complex : with fruit of the forest , strawberries, jammy blackberry, cherry, a hint of blackcurrent making the bridge to sappy notes as cypres and old commode drawer.
Mouth even better than expected : noble and mature : a complex composing of dry prunes, fresh forest black fruits, black pepper, sustained with a good freshness, and polished tannins. The ending is very long on sap and a hint of bitter kumkat confit. After uncover the label I get the little residual sugar and the typical blend of sap and liquorrice. The 15.2 alc is not noticeable during this dinner.
An exceptionnal moment : perfect match with the american recipe. A rare chance that only world wine tasters can offer.
