Big, strong, brawny with some lovely floral notes and a long deep finish with burnt oak and a hint of bitterness. Not usually my style, but really well made and aged into a very nice wine.

  January 9, 2013 - Pretty, but porty nose, initially quite smooth and rich but too sweet for my tastes. It quickly starts showing some dried out wood aftertaste. While the nose is still nose, the palate was likely fresher few years ago.

  July 21, 2012 - Didn't like this one quite as much as the previous bottle, but still good. The body was still there, but the fruit flavors had faded a bit, leaving more of a savory, somewhat meat/gamey flavor.
