February 18, 2019 - With time, this has become quite severe on the finish, although that is not bothersome. The wine is fairly rich with good acidity and the minerality that reflects the volcanic soils. Orange and tangerine fruit. Better with food than on its own. Be sure not to serve too cold.Cellared since original release.

December 14, 2017 - Vinklubben 1983's yearly X-mas dinner (hos Bo): DnP. Metallic golden, tiny bubbles. Spicy mineral driven bouquet, complex. Well defined harmonious palate, good acidity, racy elegant finish. Drink now-onwareds.

September 3, 2011 - Wow! Tremendously powerful wine; waves of dense but sharply delineated citrus/orchard fruit and stone on the nose and palate; not at all heavy or unbalanced, this wine walks the tightrope - balancing massive extract aganst finely buffered acids. Just a super expression of Nahe Riesling.

April 25, 2011 - A very delicate, precise, and tightly wound GG that while aromatically complex and intense is just not showing much depth right now, even on the second day. It's a weird experience to taste and feel the complexity and intensity in the mouth, but to have it skip lightly over the tongue and then whoosh, it's gone. Very pure, great rocky minerality; I'm pretty sure I just opened this way too early.

March 20, 2009 - Pungent on the nose with bright spicy and floral elements over slate and rocky flavours. Aggressive, piercing mineral flavours dominate the palate with some tart citrus pith and grapefruit notes emerging with air. A little austere and ungiving on the midpalate, but finishes clean and long. Quite enjoyable although not up to my expectations.
