    February 17, 2024 - Dg 02/2020

Starts with sweet lemon notes and a bit vanilla, basically a tarte au citron.

Some weird bitterness on the finish which gets slightly better.
Bouquet always stays with a nice vanilla apple profile.

Flavour is slightly overripe apple embedded into chalky barriers and some bitter aftertaste still creeps through.

    Next day

When its cold more apple and vanilla notes.
Beginning to mid palate is very tasty and juicy but in the end again some strange bitter finish.

When its warmed up a bit the apple disappears and lime chalk becomes more prominent
at the same time the bitterness is also gone.

Quite specific blanc de blanc interpretation.

If offered to me for free I wouldnt reject but not a rebuy but considering its a grand cru from some famous villages its rather disappointing.

December 28, 2023 - Great blanc de Blancs offering with tiny
Bubbles and hints of apricot, freshness, minerality and apple. Would drink now.

September 29, 2023 - It’s decidedly on downslope. Nose nutty with a bit of lemon and apple. Palate holds acid and some structure but oxidative nut times dominate.

December 3, 2021 - Brief note, 1/21 disgorgement; lemon, good acid, but little yeast and richness to make this more than decent, somewhat boring.

January 23, 2021 - This nonvintage Brut was disgorged in March of 2019 (L.134.571.9111). Straw-colored and with a brisk small bead, it delivers up-front aromas of tangerine peel, bread dough, minerals and cardamom. Light-to-medium-bodied, vibrantly acidic and with good mid-palate presence, it proceeds to a lengthy finish. Served with Osetra caviar, this was a match made in heaven! Drink now-2023.

October 7, 2019 - Excellent bottle of champ, well structured and a lot going on, complex and not too sweet.
    Apple, melon and butter.

August 11, 2019 - I have been opening Champagne bottles for many years without losing any wine but this bottle was almost explosive and I lost close to a couple of glasses. This was reflected in a very prickly drink which no longer had the poise of the previous bottle. I wondered about calling it flawed but it was still drinkable.

May 11, 2019 - Very good BDB. Lemon, faint fresh baked dough on the nose. Crisp and precise in the mouth. Very classy effort.
