December 25, 2019 - Frankly, we were disappointed. WAIT!
At this age, the wine seemed off balance, with mineral elements overtaking the fruit.

January 11, 2019 - Winorama: A winter in Wineland III; 1/4/2019-1/13/2019 (Portland/Willamette, Eureka, Napa): Part of a vertical of Veeder that we had at the estate. One of my favorites of the tasting. Interesting, but I think this wine might be even a bit more intense and younger than the last time we had it two years ago. For me it was lots of the right stuffing, but still just came across as very young despite the 13 years. Reminds me a bit of blackberries on a warm summer day but with the right structure and acidity to keep it from being an overdone wine. Still has some prettiness to it. Very tasty.

September 30, 2017 - Mouthful of blueberries. Nice bottle of wine.

January 20, 2017 - Winter in Wineland; 1/14/2017-1/20/2017 (Sonoma & Napa): My wine of the tasting and close to wine of the day. This is a stallion with piles of spirit and energy when younger and somehow over time he understands how to be under saddle and aligned with commands and still the spirit is there - just harnessed a bit. There's a crispness to it and the acidity shines through a bit more as the tannins have softened and the fruit is lovely and just the right level of ripe and the herbal and spice characteristics are in balance. It's not really ready - prob needs another 5-10 years for that - but man is it beautiful. It's very hard to beat a well-aged Lokoya. From nose to back palate - just awesome.

March 30, 2014 - This was a terrific Cabernet. Incredibly expressive nose. Loads of dark fruit. Very complete on the palate. Luxurious texture with lots of supple, fine tannins.
