June 7, 2019 - Same note as before. But had next to a Kruger-Rumpf kabinett under screwcap from the Nahe which was much fresher. An interesting juxtaposition. The Kruger-Rumpf was finished first; the Richter was contemplated more. No opinion on whether that was due to terroir or closure

January 22, 2017 - I'm no expert, but I'm not sure what more one could really want from a Mosel kabinett. Maybe it's a touch straightforward and a touch rich, but those are not even quibbles- it's a delicious, picture perfect Mosel.

April 15, 2014 - Flowery bouquet. Marvelously complex flavors of slate, flint, and intense fruit. There's no mistaking this for a classic German Riesling, and it is a terrific showing for this Master of the Mosel.

November 23, 2011 - Excellent fruit/acid balance. Clean, tart and vibrant.

September 8, 2011 - After consuming a case of this over the past two years, I hate to see it disappear. The bracing acidity with apple, pear and stony minerality offers a nice balance to the tasteful sweetness. Excellent Kabinett.
