Community Tasting Notes 7

November 30, 2011 - This wine is dramatically over-oaked and out of balance; completely atypical for Talley.
    Undrinkable.

August 20, 2010 - FLoral nose. Acid front and oak masks fruit. Pear and citrus mid palate. Weak finish.

August 10, 2010 - the devil visits in the form of bottle variation. this bottle was more enjoyable than the last one. slightly greater intensity as well as broader profile. tonite, it lives up to its 90 rating. however, i would still have to question potential longevity and i am still not impressed that it offers adequate value considering price point which is higher than average for california chard.

May 31, 2010 - A well put together wine. Not over the top oak, hint of butter, tropical fruit and very smooth. When a Chard is done well it can be very enjoyable which this wine was. It went well with a smoked salmon cream sauce pasta dish, the hint of smokiness in the wine worked wll with the food.

April 21, 2010 - heard no complaints or praises. I had a sip and found it fun and simple. Color was right and texture was weak. Definitely not a "big"wine.
