December 17, 2020 - Sat upright for weeks, bottom of cork fell into the bottle so poured slowly into a decanter. Decent amount of sediment left behind, but still quite a bit in the decanter.
At first musty, some leather, dried cherries. Opened up slowly, the more musty aromas blew off, more dried fruit, tannins still present on the palate.
Second day it was rounder, tannins softer. Shame the sediment hadn't settled more, I suspect it would have been even better!

April 8, 2015 - Monthly Tasting Group HWS #098; A Vertical of 17 vintages Poujeaux (By MM): Beautiful bouquet with still some cassis and red berries, sweet smoke, tobacco, leather and beautiful oak. On the palate juicy red berries, forest floor, good acidity and a touch of sweetness. The tannin is soft and still has some bite. Considering the vintage the wine performed above expectations. Completely ready, but no extreme hurry to drink it; over the next two years is probably wise. 88 – 89

October 9, 2011 - Excellent Bordeaux! Nose full of berries, herbs, pepper and oak. Consistent in taste. Decanted in glasses for about 2 hours before drinking.

February 13, 2011 - Nice melt tanins. A lot of fruits for that vintage!

January 31, 2011 - Short description: perfect cork, healthy color, noseof leather and herbs, graphite, medium body, very settled down (not tired but also not exuberant any more), medium finish. Healthy but no need to wait. Just a quite classic and decent claret that is fully developed. Drink now. Excellent.
