May 7, 2022 - Deep golden, but without any orange or amber hue. A chord of tropical fruits with mango dominating and minerals. A bit simple, but yummy. On the palate excellent intensity and balance between fruit, acid and a bit of well integrated sweetness. This was, hopefully, my last bottle. It was better some years ago. -2020, 5/11/15/7. 88 points, but I don't rate this, simply because it is not the wines fault, that I've forgotten it in the cellar. Still very good any way.

July 16, 2020 - Golden. This is just gorgeous now. Peach, apricot, slate, mango, spices. Fully mature this should be drunk up in the next few years. Great balance between sweetness, fruit and acidity. Maybe it will last longer, but why take the risk. Great bargain! 5/12/17/8

December 9, 2019 - Mid lemon to straw with green edges.
Plenty of lifted floral notes of white flowers, lillies, jasmine, frangipane and lemon. Intense and deep.
Strident, incisive acidity on entry met with a fabulous RS. The RS is fructophilic so glassy textured with a narrow linear feel, like the Storms River canyon. A direct, focused wine with depth of flavour, this is alpine fresh and surrounded by juicy lemons, wild white flowers and fresh apple. With a touch of richness on the back palate, this is a simple, refreshing Riesling that is utterly drinkable! Showing better than 1 year ago.

    September 23, 2018 - Alc: 9.5%; Pale straw-gold, green-y edge
Lifted aromas of white flowers, jasmine, spring flowers, lime blossom, honeysuckle and peach blossom.
Off-dry with a firm blade of acidity. Bright fruit flavours, glassy texture with minerals, ripe mango and floral elements. Simple, refreshing wine (given 2008) with a good depth of flavour with an elegant finish. Fun to try, at the drinking window.

April 14, 2018 - Golden. Quince, peach, honeysuckle and spicy minerals. On the palate it shows good balance between fruit, sweetness and acidity. Not highly complex but yummy. -2022+ if cellared in cool cellar since release.
    5/10/16/8
P.S. On day two it developes some tropical nuances, as well as raspberries.

July 5, 2013 - An expressive and complex entry-level Nahe Riesling. Good acidity, sweetness and tart green apple elements. A little funk on the nose. Enjoyable quaff.

January 25, 2013 - Nose is pretty exuberant as soon as the cork is pulled. Sweet peach, tangerine and stone fruits. Palate is pretty one dimensional and uncomplex. But enjoyable. Floral elements on the nose. Minerally.

June 6, 2011 - There might be a finer QbA Riesling out there somewhere, but if so it hasn't yet crossed my radar. Just great tonight with some good takeout Thai. Slightly off-dry, white peach, minerals and a gentle dose of petrol in a grippingly acidic package. It sang with the moo ping and wasn't at all put off by pad makuer pork, either. Life is good.

May 14, 2011 - Drank with val an Nora in DC. $42 on the list. Nose is rich with mango but backed up by minerals. Full palate, but great acid. Delicious for the price and quite complex.

March 28, 2011 - Nose carries quite a bit of citrus and minerality to it, whereas the palate is predominatly apples, pear, and just a touch of minerality on the finish. Only slightly sweet, with good acidity that provides balance. Overall well done and I would recommend.
