  May 22, 2021 - Pnp. Really dark purple youthful color. Nose of blackberry, huckleberry, bacon, smoke. Mouth of black fruit, olive, licorice, savory. Good acid, good tannins still. Has that kind of sour fruitiness that I like. A little heat from the 14.7% alcohol on the finish. Not over the hill but probably at a plateau for a couple more years.

  July 26, 2020 - Very well made, youthful still. Loads of pepper, black fruit, olive an mineral. Still tons of acid and tannin to go around. Not done by a long shot. Tasty juice

  March 21, 2018 - Dark purple, opaque, long legs, and laughs that it could ever show any bricking on the appearance. Gorgeous floral nose; almost Cote Rotie like that it seems like there must be some viognier in there. I get blueberries, violets, orange zest, with just a touch of olives. The taste is all blackberries and blueberries, harsh stemmy tannins, and a touch of acid. Only fault is it's currently lacking a bit of a mid-palette but that might develop in some years. If I was given this in a blind tasting--I would guess American Syrah--but maybe a 2014.
