August 2, 2014 - Becoming overripe and not very interesting. Seemed to have potential, but going the wrong way.

May 27, 2014 - Sadly, didn't like this, having tried hard to save it. Poured through Venturi. At first, lovely white pepper and blackberries, but that gave way in second glass to overripe plums and not much else.

December 18, 2011 - 89-90. This needs a bit of air. This reminds me a bit of something from Keenan. This has dark fruit, herbs, licorice, menthol. A blend of merlot and cab franc? with some nice dryness and structure. This seems to have a hint of cardboard that blows off with air. I like this, definitely not a fruit bomb. Nice QPR at closeout. Night 2: probably 90 nice, drying tannins.

October 2, 2011 - Night 1: Elegant, medium bodied wine done in a more bordeaux style(for napa). This is not overextracted and needs some airtime to open up fully. There are nice fine grained tannins and decent acidity. Nice earthy notes licorice, herbs, and hint of chocolate in a wine that is not overoaked, but has seen some oak no doubt. This seems to have an elegant mountain or cool climate feel. Dark red to black fruit. I am guessing this is not valley floor fruit. A nice effort. Should go several more years. NIght 2: still better after it gets a bit more air even night 2. Not better overall though. 90ish. I realy like its elegance and balance. Probably not much upside.

December 23, 2010 - Very deep ruby, almost purple in dim light. Blueberries and blackberries on the nose, with a touch of leather? Well integrated on the palate, with the fruit entwined with something else. perhaps menthol? Still too early though, even with decanting and Venturi.
