March 2, 2022 - This wine needed at LEAST 15 years. It had a dumb phase of about 14 years. Sadly the last one of 12, but so very good now. Spaetlese***, so good.

April 22, 2012 - This worked very well as an after brunch sipper on a Sunday afternoon. Geoff really enjoyed it.

April 9, 2012 - I drank this with my parents after a long day of working on the mill house grounds. We were hot, dirty and tired, and this riesling hit the spot. Aromas of canned peaches and honey. The palate is a burst of honeyed, juicy pear and white peach fruit. There's definitely some botrytis in here, with that sweet apricot flavor, but the wine reminds me of tonic water in its flavors and palate-tingling zip. The acid comes out on the finish. This wine is fun, but this might be a bit too sweet for some. It really drinks like an auslese. It was sure refreshing after a hard day’s work. My parents really enjoyed the sweetness and freshness of this riesling.

July 6, 2010 - From a recent vertical of this wine (2003, 2005, 2006) hosted at a friend's house. The 06 came in second. Lovely nose, good body, lots of botrytis, but a little disappointing on the finish. Good ending flavors, but fairly short. Pretty fat too; lacking the acid lift you usually want from the Mosel. All in all a nice wine, just lacking that balancing acidity.
