September 20, 2020 - Stunning. I don’t know what everybody else has been drinking on this page, but I must have lucked into an epic window on this wine. Dark fruit, earth, leather and tobacco — all of it balanced in a pepper-infused shocker of a finish. Thank you Lord above for the gift of Sangiovese Grosso.

May 27, 2017 - Showing age and dried out. Acidity comes through and not much else. Have left to see if a day rescues it or kills it.

November 8, 2015 - Coravined from a 375ml bottle at Osteria La Spiga in Seattle. A nice deep color with thinning edges, but too dark to appreciate the color of the edges. On the nose, a rich, deep plum, with sweet pipe tobacco and leather. Very good intensity and concentration, with plenty of acidity and sweet tannins, with a very long finish. Probably on the downslope, but really nice with lasagna. Glad to have experienced again!

October 31, 2015 - Toasty oak influence with savory red berry fruit. Leathery linear finish with smooth lingering fine grain tannin. Drying out and just past its peak, drink up.

February 28, 2015 - Slow ox'd about 45 min before serving. Opaque brick red. Looks advanced. The nose is a mix of cinnamon, brown sugar & red fruit. Full bodied & concentrated. The initial palate is more oak than fruit. Chocolate & tobacco notes. Some darker red fruit emerges, but is beginning to slip. Still quite tannic. I would advise to drink these if you have them.
