July 23, 2023 - Lighter style, not much nose going on, very acidic. Was not a fan of this one, although pretty, just not enough substance behind it. at Best in the Park BBQ. EWG

April 7, 2020 - Village Vroom, still roaring for a village wine, this pleasure has held up its promise.Trying to drink up my cellar wines that are very "ready to be consumed", before their delights are no longer. Medium balanced still showing enjoyable red fruit and spice. This is my last bottle and I paired with veal scallopini (no capers tonight). A lovely pair along with artichoke, and a mixed salad.

February 29, 2020 - the very lightest of wines to the point where you wonder if there is any heart to it all - probably should have been drunk 5 years ago - still, quite enjoyable without food

September 14, 2018 - Served blind. Opened 30 mins in advance. Very typical Burgundy. Too thin on palate.

August 7, 2018 - Totally stripped of fruit, highly acidic. Glad it was the last bottle. The 07 Vogue 1er drank a month earlier was not much better.

August 5, 2016 - Drinking beautifully and held its own following the 2006 Jadot Clos St. Denis. Ripe and rich excellent balance and purity with blue and red fruit fresh on the mid palate and fine on the finish.

July 30, 2016 - Popped and poured, then followed for several hours. Medium ruby. Nose of anise, red berry, forest floor, dusty earth. Smooth entry with polished layers of red and black raspberry fruit on the palate accompanied by the smudge of iron and earth as underlying texture. Fruit was present but not overt. Moderate acidity and filed off tannins. Moderately long finish of earth and somewhat hidden red fruit. Kept waiting for this to blossom more but it did not do so this night. Hmm, maybe an off bottle.

May 3, 2016 - Plain & simple: this is absolutely ready right now! Nice tart red fruits (raspberry, strawberry, pomegranate) and a relatively small amount of cinnamon and rose petals augmenting the fruit perfectly with a light to medium acidity make this such an easy wine to enjoy. This is the first time I've ever seen my wife go out of her way to finish her glass as we got up to leave the table because she "didn't want to waste any". Not much tannin / structure which is most likely why my wife went gaga over it. If it were a little more complex, this would easily merit a couple more points, but why pick nits? I'm under strict spousal orders to find more.

November 22, 2015 - Popped and poured, then followed over the evening. Medium ruby hue. Nose of cinnamon, red raspberry, anise, rose petal, and iodine. Tart but lush red raspberry and mulberry fruit on the palate accompanied by iron and earth notes. Propelled by copious acidity balancing structured tannins still submerged by primary fruit. Moderately long finish of sweet, tart red fruit laced with cinnamon and iron. Nicely done. Could age more but quite attractive now.
