April 6, 2024 - Day one - Delicious wine. Fantastic company.

    Day two - Zalto
Rusty cranberry color, wide watery meniscus, bricking on the edges.
With overnight aeration in the bottle, the aromas start to show their age. A faint dusty aroma starts to lay over the cranberries and tart cherry aromas, soil and morel mushrooms add depth.
Perfectly composed in the mouth. Great acid, fully integrated tannins, just mouth watering. Tart cherry, hints of black tea, savory morels, and orange rind all create a kaleidoscope of flavor.
The long lingering finish remains, savory and mouthwateringly tart.

January 10, 2024 - Floral, lifted palate. Precise, delineated palate surprised me!

October 22, 2023 - I have had this wine multiple times, and tonight, it was served in blind. I had similar impression that the wine was clearly more backward and darker than the 07 CSD. It probably needs more time to fully reveal itself. Compared to the ready and pretty 07 CSD, the 07 CDLR was more muted on the sweetness with a tannic structure. Interesting to revisit it in 2-3 years. Unlike other 07 Dujac cuvees, the CDLR still needs more time.

August 10, 2023 - Drank this next to 02' Roumier Ruchottes and 88' Rousseau Clos st Jacques. Hard to compare, it seemed so young and closed down by comparison. I think on its own it would have been special, but I didn't have much interest in drinking too much of it with the other wines on the table. Reluctant to give it a score as a result of that, but I'd say this wine has a lot of potential that will unfurl over the next several years.

August 6, 2023 - Weekend in Michigan with Wine; 8/5/2023-8/6/2023 (Asian Spice House - Buchanan MI): Bright red fruit well spiced and certainly well balanced. Maybe not quite Grand Cru density for me, but that is what to expect from many wines form 2007.
