December 1, 2023 - Translucent darker ruby with bricky hints. Nose of feral but classy violets cut with deep soil and dark plum. Layers of lightly held but gorgeous black cherry and raspberry fruit mixed with balancing iron and earthy tones on the finely textured palate. Fresh acidity and filed off tannin. Long finish of persistent sweet berry, iron bits, and holiday spice. Delightful wine showing beautifully this evening.

October 13, 2023 - PNP. Cranberry, ferrous/metallic edge to the nose. Lithe, lively and supple palate with delicate red fruit notes and a lingering persistence. Another wonderful 07 from De Montille.

June 14, 2021 - Popped and poured double blind. 6 wines, 3 CdB and 3 CdN, vintages varied from 1999 to 2007. My first place wine. Bright red cherry fruit, some stem infused spice/wood character and over all a very beautiful nose. The palate is the tightest of the 6, young but shows a sweetness and a suppleness that provides a great experience.

January 24, 2020 - Delectable!! Light bodied and fragrant and still with a lot of freshness.
Shows vividly that power and muscle is not the only the only stuff tha a makes a wine good. Drink or keep for the medium term.
