December 2, 2023 - Gourmetklubbens femtiosjunde middag hemma hos P+H: Tema Italienskt (P+H, Södermalm): (Decanted for one and a half hour)
Still very youthful on the nose showing fennel, licorice
and hip roses with some herbs. Palate also very tight and still showing very intense and youthful tannins on the palate filled with herbs and with some licorice on the lengthy finish.

December 2, 2023 - Cork in good shape maybe a half inch run. Light red body no orange on rim. Tar. Damp earth, cigar box and dark fruit nose. On the palate sour cherry, lavender and a raspberry note on the finish after 4 hours open. Initial fruit was dark plums and a good match for veal marsala. The tannin is tart and somewhat drying with only a subtle tingly finish. Mature and enjoyable now. Next day update: apologies for description of wine as still red. Seen in daylight there is significant bricking.

March 19, 2023 - Essence of black plums, lavender, violets, and cigar tobacco aging in a cedar humidor. The tannins are big and have a very lengthy and pleasant grip. Nebbiolo really shows its greatness when in the right hands, and this Barolo really shines a spotlight on high quality production. Nearing the end of its life; drink now or very soon.

October 1, 2022 - Pop and pour. Still beautiful. Medium- acid and still strong tannins which are balanced with some luscious dark fruit and licorice Medium + finish. Lovely!
