January 10, 2019 - This bottle felt more developed vs the one 6 months ago. Took 30 minutes for fruit to come to the fore, some decay and dusty notes in the beginning. Lovely fresh red berries and earthy notes of mushroom. Great drinkability (bottle finishes quickly). Adding lustre to a grey wednesday and kale pizza.

April 3, 2018 - Good Burgundy, still quite young with good, tasty fruit while quite light. Raspberry, strawberry, some herbs and roses on the nose. Strawberry and sour berries (cranberries?) on the palate. Savoury with really nice pinot fruit. Easy drinking.

October 30, 2016 - Medium bodied Gevrey, good at village-level. Juicy red berries, good balance and the fruit hangs in there all the est, good stuff!

March 10, 2016 - much better than the last bottle. Seems to be quite some bottle variation. Same tones and flavors, but a completely different balance.
I opened the bottle in the morning (with on the cork on it then) and did no decanting. Very mouth filling, very aromatic with a well integrated oak with surprising so ripe fruit. slight orange flavors still.
Drunk side by side with the Beaune Clos des Couchereaux 2002 from Jabot. Very different style. Beaune is structure, earthy, tannic, red fruit, elegant. This gevrey was much bolder, dark fruit, more direct aromatics and modern in style. less subtle than the beaune but very charming.

February 27, 2016 - at maturity now. two-sided wine. on one side, very attractive with the ripe delicate fruit, soft tannins, nice aromatics. on the other end, it has a quite unbalanced acidity on the palate (almost bubbly) complexity is low-medium for a gevrey. use of oak giving a silky mouthfeel (but removing terroir feeling). some orange peel flavors start to show off (perfect with a canard a l'orange) indicating "time to drink"
