June 16, 2016 - A tad rustic and alcoholic, but really quite flavorful. Off dry and alcoholic.

February 13, 2013 - Light and sweet for someone used to dry wine, but nonetheless not syrupy or cloying. A very nice aperitif, and goes well enough with most any food. We opened this, put it in the refrigerator and forgot about it. It was still enjoyable weeks later when we rediscovered it. Many specific wines would pair better than this sake with a specific food. But this sake fits a very nice spot where opening a full bottle of good wine is too much. This is SO MUCH better than cheap plonk for a short pour with several meals through the week.
