March 19, 2014 - A solid everyday wine. Needs plenty of air as it did gain a little weight. Acid was a little overbearing at first.
September 29, 2010 - deep bouquet of red fruit after a couple hours of air, mouthful of leather, berries and stone, really nice for the price, balanced, light, good match with mushroom gravy pork chops
June 18, 2010 - Solid Burgundy with decent QPR at $20 or less. No surprises, just a decent, albeit light bodied, Borgogne. 84 = high end of "good", hard to rate it "very good to excellent".
March 21, 2010 - Solid bourgogne, would repurchase for under $20.
March 1, 2010 - Cherries, asian spice and cloves come through on the nose, with an almost clean, mineral quality. A bit tight, but the black cherry fruit on the nose carries on to the palate, along with cardamom and subtle rose petal flavors. Very nice for the vintage.
February 28, 2010 - Clean nose of stony red fruit and strawberry. Good structure and bit dry on palate, not lush with sweet fruit. Framed by prominent acid and tannin but this is a balanced wine just a bit on the lean and simple side.
February 17, 2010 - Light cherry, forest floor, dusting of spice. Nice balance.
February 16, 2010 - A nice classically styled basic Bourgogne that has light-medium body with balanced strawberry and earthy aromas.
November 12, 2009 - Nose has some baked cherry with nice earthiness. Also getting some strawberry notes.
Lighter bodied with some upfront tannins. The fruit is thin and light, almost watery. Some saline notes. Finish is a bit sour.
November 11, 2009 - Red Burgundy (Waterford Wine Co., Milwaukee): fruit from chorey les beaune, savigny les beaune, santenay and maranges.
light strawberry color. i'm finding a swamp of mushroom off the nose. bottle funk as it blows right off. light cherry fruit and light wood accent. nothing special, even for just someone's bourgogne rouge. blah.
