July 10, 2012 - - Garnet color and aromas of blackberry, black pepper and vanilla and has flavours of blackberry, black pepper and vanilla.
July 15, 2011 - Well we got two 91's and a 75! This is new at private store - meets what i expected from region and what is in the bottle. Not getting as much wood/oak as others (don't like much of it either). This has a light nose of some dark fruit and subtle earthy note. Palate is light to medium bodied with light acid/tannin such that pleasant to drink without food. Nice level of that dark fruit and some other slight more complex notes - perhaps not as descript as others below. Finish is medium length and not over oaked at all.
I like this for what it is and the borderline pricey 22$ CAN. Will try its cheaper brother, but i suspect will be more uninspiring.
February 19, 2011 - Very interesting nose of green bell pepper, jalapeño , dark fruits, new leather black pepper and lots and lots of oak.
Medium bodied palate with a similar flavors to the nose. Green bell pepper, black pepper and good dose of spice is very nice. This has a bit of a rustic feel to it with tight tannin structure and balanced acidity.
Outstanding Quality. 91 pts.
